Choosing The Right Tablet For Real Estate: RIM, Apple or Android?

Please stop by Choosing The Right Tablet For Real Estate: RIM, Apple or Android?  post and leave him a comment. New Tablets for Real Estate Professionals, new gadgets that can help us be more productive at work.

After much anticipation, RIM has finally unveiled its latest geek toy, the Playbook, into the hands of the general public. As our latest post indicated, the competitiveness of the real estate industry requires many of us to don the latest gadgets to stay ahead of the game. Well the latest entrant certainly has a few perks that we would like to share with you, in hopes of aiding you in your decision on the latest tablet to buy.

Prior to launching to the general public, RIM’s PlayBook Tablet, met a wide mix of reviews, many of them not too impressed with the PlayBook, claiming RIM should have waited a while longer before launching without many essential features such as a native e-mail app. But, to the surprise of the tech community, the PlayBook launched to a successful 50,000 unit sale in the first day of its launch. Now this is quite tame compared to the 500,000 iPad 2 tablets sold in the first day. Nonetheless 50,000 units puts the PlayBook ahead of the game compared to other tablets such as the Galaxy Tab.

We cannot go without saying that, as it is with real estate, just because a tablet is a success in the market place doesn’t always mean it’s the right fit for you. If you are in the market for a new tablet and would like to know a few specs prior to making your decision, we have created this simple graph that highlights the three big tablets and how they may be of use to you in the real estate industry:

Do you use a Tablet? If so we would love to hear what you think of your tablet. Also, please feel free to let us know which tablet you are considering buying in the comment section below.

We hope these specifications have helped guide you through the emerging tablet market. Please feel free to ask us any questions you may have regarding purchasing tablets!

Take care and be safe!

I personally use an Ipad and have had it for awhile.  I am looking forward to upgrading to the Ipad2 with the camera.  I don't go anywhere without my Ipad I have docusign and everything on it.

Going with RIM, but I will wait for them to work the bugs out, and add a few features.

I held a Motorola Galaxy in the store recently, it felt good but I will pass on it.

Given the recent news about Apple and Google tracking and recording your location, I will not be purchasing their products, including iPad, iPhone, Android, etc.

Just purchased the Android Galaxy pad. At first I thought it would be to small, but after spending hours in the store going back and forth with the Zoom, Ipad 2 and galaxy, I decided to start small and see if I would use it. Now I am just getting it up and running and trying to figure out the best apps to use, but it is amazing for email, IDX feed, database management, google reader and reading AR blogs, but I was very dissapointed that I could not comment on AR blogs on my tablet while doing an open house with NO clients.
