Let's Talk Albuquerque!

Leave a Gift and a "Thank You Note" (for your buyers)!

Dan Edward Phillips, Broker, Eureka CA reminds us to always remember to show our appreciation to our buyers.  Indeed, by providing a closing gift to your buyer, you have essentially put a deposit on future referrals.  Please stop by Dan's Blog and leave him a comment

In the excitement of finally closing on the sale of your home (packing, moving, making plans for your new home etc.), don't forget the reason for the excitement; your buyers.

One way to show your appreciation, is to "Leave them a Gift".   And add a note of appreciation that they chose your home (do this no matter how difficult of  an escrow it was, remember all escrows are now 'difficult').

A gift certificate to a great local restaurant is an excellent idea.  They may even use it the night they move in.

In your note tell them a little about the restaurant and that you hope they enjoy their meal.  Even if they are local they may not have experienced the restaurant you have chosen.

How to make sure they receive it?  You have to turn over the 'key's' to your home, place the gift certificate in a large envelope with the key's when you turn the key's over to your listing agent.

Start the new owners of your home out on the right foot.  Your efforts will be rewarded.  And you will feel good about extending a 'Thank You'.

Sound's simple enough.  We make sure all our buyers get on the Lowe's coupon mailers and receive a Lowe's Gift card as we all know they will need something for their home that very first day.

They appreciate the regular mailings from Lowe's and they are cobranded to keep reminding them who sold them the home.

I used to leave $500 Home Depot gift cards for my buyer or whatever I knew they were into in a gift basket that I would make myself.  they absoultely loved it!  I also made sure to put them on my Send out Cards list for their birthdays and Christmas.  The key to Broker Heaven is referrals!
