Dan Edward Phllips, Broker/Owner Eureka, CA on turning on your stove hood as the winter approaches. Remember, Carbon Monoxide kills. Be careful. Pay close attention to the tips provided by Dan, and drop by his post and leave him a comment
As the cooler weather of winter approaches in Northern California, it is time to remind you to always use the stove hood when using your gas stove or gas range top.
Carbon Monoxide is produced by both units. It is also a good idea to leave a window slightly open in the kitchen area.
Make sure the stove hood is venting out through the roof and not set on 'recirculate'. If possible check the stove vent in the attic to make sure it has not been disconnected and is venting into the attic area. If in doubt call an expert for assistance.
And Carbon Monoxide Detectors are priceless!
