Tonight I Voted!

Tonight I Voted!

Inside my Voting Booth

Earning the right to vote in an election is a big deal.  Tonight I exercised my right to Vote.  As I have done in past elections, I elected to vote early.  Bernalillo County has definitely done a great job in making it very convenient for residents to vote by opening Early Voting Centers across the city and county.

Lloyd:  Congratulations on voting.  Everyone needs to do that... NO excuses.  And, I am sure President Obama appreciates your vote... LOL.  (Or, did I make an unwarranted assumption?)   LOL x 2

Really interesting assumption. Wonder why...

I went to the early voting site in Daytona, but the crowd was so huge, that I just left.

Lloyd, congratulations - every vote counts and early voting makes lot of sense - specifically after Sandy has created situation where it will be difficult to set up polling booths in some states.

Jon:  Why would I assume anything else.  Obama is the best choice, and Lloyd, because he is such a discerning and intelligent guy... he knows that as well, as do I.  Go Obama!

Oh... one more thing, Jon.  If you wait until next week, the board of elections is expecting such great crowds they have set up voting for Democrats and Independents on Tuesday, and Republicans and conservatives on Wednesday.  That way... much less waiting.  Pass it on.

@ Karen Anne - because you would not have suggested it to, for example, Ted Baker, who is "such a discerning and intelligent guy" and I doubt you would not agree that he is highly intelligent guy.

So, not every intelligent guy votes for Obama. Then why would you make such assumption? I would not be surprised if C. Lloyd finds it offensive... Even if he voted for Obama.

Jon:  First of all... I most certainly WOULD have made the same response to Ted Baker.  And yes, I am quite well aware that Ted is a "highly intelligent guy."  But, Ted has a sense of humor, as does Lloyd, and I just know they know me well enough to not be offended by my "tongue-in-cheek" humor... strange as it may be.  Ummm... I thought you did, as well.

Both Ted and Lloyd are cool guys... and I respect both of them.  And as far as Lloyd is concerned... please don't make anything more out of it than exactly what I said.  I don't play that "card."

Hi Lloyd -- congratulations for taking the opportunity to vote early - I'll vote Tuesday and even in a non-swing state -- every vote does count.

Good afternoon everyone,

Thanks for your comments.  I appreciate the exchange especially between Jon and Karen Anne.   Actually, no offense was taken.  If I were living in Ohio or Fl, or one of the other swing states...the issue of presidential candidates would have been an issue.  My focus during this exercise was on all the state and county issues on the ballot
