Post Election Findings – New Mexico Voter Turnout Dropped

One would think that with all the noise leading up to the recent election that voter turnout would have increased.  To the contrary, the New Mexico Canvassing Board has reported that only 786,500 voters casted ballots in the general election.  This is a 7 % drop from the 2008 level when 70% of eligible voters casted ballots.

The right to vote is such a significant part of being a citizen of the United States, it seems to me that there should be 100% voter turnout for the general election.

Hi Lloyd -- just because many can vote -- it doesn't mean everyone should -- it's best to be well-informed -- wishful thinking, huh?
