APD 18th Annual Cops for Kids

APD 18th Annual Cops for Kids

It couldn’t have come at a better time…today, the Albuquerque Police Department which is currently being investigated by the Department of Justice, conducted its annual Cops for Kids Community Outreach.   This is an annual event where cops and deputies alike are matched with poor children, take them out to shop, eat and enjoy some time together.

Residents in the Northeast Heights of Albuquerque were curious about all the commotion in and around the Wal-Mart by Academy and Wyoming Boulevard.

Hi Lloyd - any time we can get children to successfully bond with the police is a good thing as far as I am concerned.  This program with the Albuquerque Police Department sounds as if it is successful.
