What's Your Christmas Tree of Choice-Real or Artificial?

The tree you use during Christmas, whether it's real or artificial is definitely a matter of personal choice. Wayne Johnson has definitely done a good job in this post about the subject.  Check out his post... wothy of a re-blog

What's Your Christmas Tree of Choice-Real or Artificial?

When I was a kid, our Christmas trees were always real but small by today's standards. We didn't have a lot of money so whatever was used for a tree reduced the funds for other holiday items. As I recall the trip to find a suitable tree happened between December 10-15. I suppose by that time the tree sellers were ready to negotiate on terms more favorable to buyers. Funny how supply and demand, and time definite deadlines have and will always force buyers and sellers to come to a meeting of the minds.

The first artificial tree I saw was an aluminum model that a neighbor family had. There was also a rotating light with various colors. So modern, at least at the time. Sterile too. I don't recall seeing that kind of tree during the past few years.

I was at HEB this afternoon and saw the Christmas trees on display. They covered all the bases-real trees and artificial trees. This got me thinking -which is better?

Which Christmas Tree For You?
When our kids were young, I think we had one real tree. After that, I scooped up an artificial tree at an after Christmas sale and we've been artificial tree users since. Of course there are pros and cons for each. I like the smell of a real tree, but I don't like the needles and the inability to reuse the tree.

I guess we were part of the generation where convenience items were more readily available. We used Pampers instead of real diapers too. In that case, real diapers were probably more environmentally friendly but we were young and did not appreciate the long-term affect of plastic.

Artificial trees are probably a more environmentally  positive way to go, and since we leave the lights on the tree, it is easier to set up and take down. Just add or remove the ornaments, as appropriate.

So which type of tree do you prefer-real or artificial?

There's nothing artificial about the way to do our real estate transactions. We do real deals. Call me when you are ready to get your real estate bought or sold in the Greater San Antonio area.

GREEN * 4' 2-piece and it is PRE-lighted with 1 plug * I L♥VE it.....does not hurt my hands when I put my ornaments on it AND I don't need to "recycle" it after the holidays!
