How About them Lobos?

How About them Lobos?

Just is case you missed it, the University of New Mexico Lobos defeated the #8 ranked Cincinnati Bearcats 55-54 on Thursday night in a nationally televised game on ESPN2.  The win came as a shock to most of the basketball prognosticators around the country.  With this win, I wonder if the LOBOS will now earn the respect that they deserve.

Recall after the Loss to South Dakota, the Lobos was kicked off the both the AP Top 25 and the USA Today Coaches Poll.  There is no question that the Lobos are playing some of the best basketball in the nation.  The polls may deny them their ranking, but the Lobos will continue to demand their respect on the court.

UNM is not a Big Name that we are accustomed to seeing on the national polls, but I am here to tell you…Not This Time!  This is a different year and time.  You might as well just get onboard.

Still not convinced…watch this!   ESPN has named the Lobos Team of the Week.   Lobos are now 13-1 for the season.

Next for the Lobos, on the road to St Louis on Monday,  Dec 31, 2012 at 5:30 PM MST
