(2012) Active Rain – One of the best-kept Secrets in Real Estate

active rain logo

If your business involves real estate, Active Rain is a must have.  It is as simple at that.  Active Rain in my opinion is the “best kept secret in Real Estate.”  I say this from experience…it has provided me with the tools I need to compete and win against the most formidable competitors in my market.

Consider this, where can you find a network of like-minded professionals who share their experiences and guide you, or even coach you on matters related to your vocation without even charging for it?  That is unheard of across our industry, but it happens everyday right here on Active Rain.  Need assistance on how to format and write a blog? Visit the Active Rain University or Contact Bob Stewart, the Community Evangelist.  New to Active Rain and having problems navigating the network?  Contact Jerry Newman, Active Rain Ambassador, San Antonio Realtor.  Looking for a System on how to run a successful real estate business?  Attend the RAINCAMP and sign up for the Internet Marketing Specialist Designation (IMSD).

The First-Step is to become a Rainmaker where you pay a nominal monthly fee.   As you progress you are awarded points for your efforts to write posts, comment on the posts of other members and participate in a variety of contests.  The end result is that your reward will be… being found on GOOGLE.

What is so special about being found on GOOGLE?  Let me put it this way, a recent National Association of Realtor (NAR) study stated that “80 percent of buyers start their home search online.”  As Realtors, it is critical that we are positioned to respond these online searches.

Using the power of Active Rain and our daily blogs we become the beneficiaries of “Google Juice” where our posts receive organic placement and excellent rankings.  Active Rain has provided all the above and more.  It has definitely made a difference in my business and in my opinion, the best-kept secret in real estate.

Hi Lloyd - you're right -- I'm surprised more Realtors and others in real estate related fields are not members of ActiveRain.   I think you should make this a public post to get the word out and increase AR membership.
