My Ideal Website
Having had my share of disappointments with Real Estate Website Providers who promised the star in the sky but could not deliver, I have come to the realization that it’s not that these companies do not want to deliver I think they are just unable to deliver. Many of them are lacking in creativity. So if I were tasked with developing a website for my real estate business, "What 3 Features Would Make My Website Ideal?" That is, in addition to the common features like CRM, IDX, BLOG. Below, are three additional features that would constitute my ideal website.
1. An Interactive Forum: The purpose of this forum would be to encourage and foster discussions among site-visitors. Since this is a Real Estate Website, a buyer for example would ask about “Bank-Owned Homes in Albuquerque…a local Realtor seeing this question would respond to the question by providing input about a listing that he has for sale. Others could chime in.
2. An Algorithm that will pull all pertinent Statistical Information about the City/subdivision as it relates to Housing, Employment, Unemployment Crime Stats, Local Initiatives, etc. This information is in the public domain and once retrieved, could be parsed and displayed in a format that makes sense to the site visitor.
3. A Lead Generation function that is on Steroids. This would have the capability of harnessing all of the other functionalities of the site then require the site visitor to register if they would like to continue gaining to the information on the site. It would put out questions like Are you thinking about moving to this location for example?
Realizing that this is a tall order, I would be surprised if this is possible in the current Real Estate Environment.
