As one who survived the flu last month, I can verify.

IT'S NO PICNIC.

I take great care of my health, yet this microscopic Devil made it's way in and literally took over my body for 10 stinkin' days.

I'm about 95% today.

5% more to go.

GOOD MORNING C. LLOYD!  Two in my family got it - lived through it - it's a rough one.  Wash your hands constantly and keep them away from your face at all times helps!

Thanks for this information Lloyd! We should look after ourselves in the first place. Taking necessary precautionary measures is a must - washing of hands, stay away from people who are inflicted with flu as this gets transmitted easily. Take care everyone!

Lloyd, got a flu shot this year so I feel relatively safe. Proper hygiene is still important. I learned a flu shot is only about 60% effective. It is still worth getting one every year though. Help us all by staying home, if you have the flu.

Take care of yourself indeed.  I work hard to keep my immune system strong and (knock on wood) I haven't been sick all year.  Good post and good health to you!

Yuck, I am hoping to avoid this nasty bug!  It can be really scary when so many people are affected.

One has to wonder where this bug comes from and then where it ends up going...This invisible form of life is what we dreaded bringing back from the moon and was the subject for much discussion at some point. It certainly is here

Lloyd, The Flu is spreading like a wild fire through my Town, it's been so rough. Yes, it is important to frequently wash and sanitize hands, Lysol door knobs, phones, toilet flushers anything everyone commonly touches. It is also helpful to wear a mask that they hand out from most Emergency Rooms or Pharmacy to keep at the Office and at Home, should anyone you know is showing signs of the Flu...Just an extra precaution. Thank You for your information as well! Have a great day, and stay well!

Good Evening Mike,

Thanks for stopping by.  Everyone should be very careful, especially if they did not get the flu shot

Good Evening Ridhi,

Excellent Comment.  It is difficut to avoid it in some cases.  In my case, I flew up to CT for Christmas and flew back on January 3rd.  I think I got exposed to it to it on my way home.

Good evening Michael,

Wish you all the best.  I got the flu shot, so I think I was in the 40% where it did not work.  I was told that if I had not taken the Flu Shot, it would have been worse

So far Debbie and I have been spared from THE BUG!  We do a lot of hand washing and carry liquid hand sanitizer with us all the time.  Thankfully we got our flu shots early this year as well.  Hope you and yours are staying well too.

Good Evening John,

You are in a minority as the hospitals around Albuquerque and Rio Rancho have been inundated with cases of infuenza.  I had a really horrible case of it even though I got the flu shot early.   My fiancé on the other hand did not get it.  Hope you and your wife will be spared...this is the worst case of the flu that I have ever encountered
